The School At Sea
The School at Sea for
secondary school (ages 12-17) and college students is perhaps
the most exiting and enriching part of the Island Expedition experience.
The program gives students rare "hands-on" learning
experience by exposing them to a wide range of information and
real life situations in a supportive environment conducive to
learning and developing valuable academic and practical skills.
The entire School at Sea program provides a continual, interactive
environment with immediate feed-back which students in past years
have found to be rich and rewarding. It is a seven days a week,
twenty-four hour a day experience. The strength of the School
at Sea lies in its informal structure, which, in turn encourages
experiential learning in a multi-lingual, international setting,
with lively conversation and exchanges in stimulating ideas. The
School at Sea is an opportunity to learn, grow and develop at
every level.
